Summer Fun

Aubrey's First Time At The Pool

Love the hat! Love the suit! The two together...hmmm.

Penny for your thoughts?

Ashley could go swimming all day, every day!

Our First Camping Trip of the Summer

Jackson "chills" by the campfire (is that a contradiction or what?!).

Aubrey's chillin' too.

What happens when you leave a bag of trail mix in your hot car? You get "camping clusters"!

Mmmm...Ashley thinks Camping Clusters are delicious!

Sweet baby enjoying the great outdoors.

Jackson up to ears in sand...and loving it!

Ashley Loves Ballet

This year Ashley has loved taking ballet classes with her friend, Grace. In May they had their big recital, on a big stage and it was very exciting. Not to mention the fancy dress she got to wear!

Spring is finally here!

After having a dirt garden for the past two years, Rob and I have finally done a little landscaping in our front yard. What a great way to welcome spring to Omaha after a long and cold winter! Of course, Rob doesn't do anything "half-way" so he decided we needed flower boxes under the windows and then even MORE flowers hanging by the door. It's going to be a couple of years before our small little bushes will mature, but we're decked-out in flowers now, so that goes a long way!

Ashley Is Ready for Summer

It seems like every chance Ashley gets, she puts on her bathing suit. After a long, cold, and very windy Nebraska winter, she can't wait for summer to be here. We have a deal that it has to be at least sixty-degrees outside before she can wear her flip-flops. Otherwise, she would be wearing them rain or shine!

Enjoying an uncommonly warm April day with friend Lucy.

With a polka-dot bathing suit this cute, who could resist wearing it everyday?

He's Going The Distance

--For full affect, first click on song "Going The Distance" in green playlist box--
For the second year in a row, with lots of help and support from his Dad, Jackson has won first place in the Pinewood Derby! However, this year Jackson was able to go on to the next level and compete at the Wagon Wheel District Pinewood Derby. He won first place for the Bears and also first place for the entire district. He qualified to go to the regional competition also, but Jackson said he was "satisfied" and didn't want to go on. He and Rob lamented together when the news covered the winner of the regional derby and they realized Jackson's car was faster and could have very well won. Oh, well, maybe next year!

The Winning Car..."Red Silver"

Three trophies! Jackson is thinking he might need another shelf in his bedroom for these things!

Jackson and his proud Papa...the birth of a pinewood derby car is truly a labor of love!

Now that's a trophy! Way to go, Jackson!

Baby, you've got eyes!

Aubrey has the most amazing eyelashes, we just had to get a close-up. Ashley is very proud of the fact that her little sister has her same big, blue eyes. And, of course, Rob loves taking the credit for both of his blue-eyed baby girls!

Aubrey is growing so fast!
We're having fun taking lots of pictures!

Aubrey Susan Tyrrell

Aubrey was born January 24, 2008...just one day before my birthday. Talk about a wonderful birthday present! The last couple months have flown by so quickly and I just can't believe she's almost three months old. She is such a sweet, happy baby and it has been so fun having her in our little family. She has been such a great sleeper, sleeping 8-10 hour stretches at a time! Being as sleep deprived as I was at the end of my pregnancy, this has been a much needed blessing. Both Jackson and Ashley adore their new sister and smother her in hugs and kisses. And of course, she has her daddy wrapped around her little finger. Her eye color has already developed into bright blue and we get a lot of comments of her looking like Ashley. She is an absolute joy and I'm looking forward to posting more pictures of her as she changes and grows.

Aubrey loves her carseat...but only when she's sleeping!

Jake and Aubrey were born just four days apart
and are already good buddies.

Our friends let us borrow their digital camera, so I shot a little footage of Aubrey. I'm horrible at using a video camera, but this gives you a little glimpse of our baby in action!
